KB00031 - 'Item not found in this collection' when Stickies starts

Problem

When Stickies starts, you receive the message "Item not found in this collection". Then, when you open the Manage dialog, it's completely blank.

This can only happen with versions of Stickies earlier than v10

Solution

Open the About dialog, and take a note of the path shown at the bottom.
Exit Stickies
Go to the path you noted above
Delete the file store.mdb
Restart Stickies

Warning: This will delete any stored stickies. No desktop, sleeping, closed or attached, but all stored stickies are held in this file. If you have stored stickies in the past, this suggests a corrupt store.mdb, so don't follow this procedure as it might contain data! If this is problem with a new Stickies install, then this is the procedure for you.
