KB00099 - Setting random colours for new notes

Secret random colour mode

Well, it's not secret seeing as it's documented here, but it's not particularly obvious either. Older releases of Stickies had buttons in the "Set Colour" dialog to set these two modes, but those were removed.

If you'd like a random colour for all new notes, in Settings, on the Appearance tab click the Note Colour button with the Default style selected at the top.

Then in the Red, Green and Blue values in the lower right, set each to be:

• 254 for a completely random colour
• 253 for a colour chosen from a set of sixteen colours
